The Resuscitation Kit, Basic (EL-MK-10872) holds three hand-operated resuscitator sets (neonate, child and adult), a foot-operated suction pump and single-use airway Guedels in sizes 00, 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4. The packed kit weighs about 6 kg and takes up about 0.06 cubic metres. It is used in hospitals, ambulances and emergency response to support resuscitation of adults, children and newborns.

Where each kit is used

The Emergency First Aid Kit covers first response for minor injuries in hospitals, clinics, schools and workplaces, and First Aid Kit A adds wound care and eye-infection treatment for emergency and domestic settings. The periphery kit restocks peripheral health units with renewable supplies, from Foley catheters and IV cannulas to a 5 L sharps box and infection-control body bags.

The surgical instrument sets are grouped by procedure. The abdominal set is for laparotomy, caesarean section and gynaecological operations; the basic surgery set is for minor surgery, complex wound management and appendectomy; the curettage set is for uterine curettage and dilation. What facilities do the surgical sets assume?

The abdominal, basic surgery and curettage set pages list a fully functional theatre with sterilisation and resuscitation rooms and trained personnel. The delivery set assumes an obstetric setting with a professional midwife.

Can the instruments in the sets be bought one at a time?
