How the balances are used in laboratories

Electronic analytical and precision balances weigh reagents and samples where high resolution matters, for example when preparing standard solutions in a chemistry laboratory or in formulation and quality control work. Two do. The electronic Balance, Analytical (EL-B-10723) reads 0.0001 g up to 220 g, and the mechanical Analytical Balance (EL-B-10734) has 0.1 mg sensitivity up to 200 g in a glazed wooden case.

Which balances run on batteries?

The Balance, Portable (EL-B-10721) runs on mains through a DC adapter or on four AA batteries, and the Economic Compact Balance (EL-B-10727) runs on six AA batteries, with a DC adaptor available as an option.

What is the anti-vibration table for?

It gives a sensitive balance a steady base. The table has a polished granite working slab of 400 x 450 mm on shock-absorbing rubber mounts, with levelling feet, and weighs 55 kg.
